Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to complete the Sagian Interchange rehabilitation project into two separate packages, news sources reported. The work on the PKR 2.99 billion project is expected to start from January 25.

, according to reports, Package one includes the building of a road from Saggian Interchange Band Road to Phool Mandi and Faiz Pur Interchange costing PKR 1.50 billion. The second phase entails the construction of a road from Phool Mandi to Sheikhupura Road, which will take eight months and cost PKR 1.48 billion. The authorities further stated that eligible businesses would be notified on January 20 before construction on the project begins.

It is worth noting that the LDA just published a list of firms that have prequalified for the Sagian Road project. The Sagian Road rehabilitation project is part of the Punjab government’s multibillion-rupee road infrastructure development project for the provincial capital. The road is one of the most heavily used in the city, with commuters and heavy traffic utilising it to enter and exit the city.
