Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Sunday announced its decision to reschedule the auction of commercial and residential plots, a news source reported. The civic body had originally set the auction date for June 29 (Monday).

An LDA spokesperson stated that the authority took the said decision in light of the smart lockdown imposed in different areas of the city. The official added that the LDA would soon reschedule the auction and announce the date.
During the said event, LDA had planned to sell commercial and residential plots, along with the lease rights of two parking plazas and two community centres in the city.

Earlier in March, the civic body held the auction for residential and commercial plots in Jubilee Town, Gujjarpura, Faisal Town, and Mustafa Town. The authority had put up 22 properties for auction in these areas during the event held at the LDA Community Centre in New Muslim Town.
