Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has requested an additional funds worth PKR 2.5 billion for the development of sports projects, including a sports complex in the city, a news source reported.
According to details, some of the projects initiated during the tenure of the previous government but were not completed have now doubled in their costs. This includes several sports complexes which now requires an additional PKR 2.5 billion.
The summary for the additional costs have been sent to Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar. These include the construction of sports complexes in Sabzazar, Minar-e-Pakistan, EME Society, Shahdara, Gurumangat Road, and China Scheme.
The previous government had prepared plans to establish 11 sports complexes in each National Assembly constituency of Lahore.
