Lahore: The Punjab Government has issued directives to officials in three districts: Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib, instructing them to transfer records concerning private housing schemes and land-use conversions to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). This news was disclosed in a news article on February 28.

According to the details, the LDA has regained its authority to approve housing schemes and land-use conversion cases. In its 35th meeting on January 10, the caretaker government authorised the LDA to resume its functions related to land use and the approval of private housing schemes within the Lahore division until the elected local governments were established.

Consequently, the Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CD) instructed administrators and chief officers of the dissolved local governments in the Lahore division to comply with the cabinet decision and transfer records on land use and private housing schemes to the LDA.
