Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has dismantled infrastructure of eight illegal housing schemes in the city, a news source reported.

LDA’s Directorate of Estate Management Private Housing Schemes carried out the operation as part of its drive against illegal housing schemes in the city.
LDA Director Estate Management Bushra Naseer supervised the operation as LDA officials removed flexes, billboards, and publicity banners from the sites of the private housing schemes.
Meanwhile, LDA Director General Muhammad Usman Muazzam has given instructions to the officials concerned to quicken the pace of action against illegal residential colonies situated in the city. He added that the authority will take all possible measures in order to protect the public interest.

Previously, LDA’s Governing Body had approved a sum of PKR 3.8 billion for various projects including its own housing scheme, LDA City.
