Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA)’s Governing Body recently formulated a committee to resolve the issue of illegal encroachments in Township’s Phase II — with the committee deciding to demolish 200 violating shops in the area, and to use the vacated land to build a park and a ride plaza instead, a news source reported.

Additionally, the committee’s convener Sheikh Imtiaz Mehmood also issued instructions to prepare the design for the ride plaza. The Director Estate Management Quaid-e-Azam Town issued notifications to the Town Planner and Chief Engineer for the purpose.

According to the details shared through the notification, the plaza will be constructed over an area of 7 marlas and 187 square feet. Three floors will be used for shops, while an additional three floors will be dedicated for parking.
