As per the news post, the QR codes are allotted to each housing scheme that has legally registered itself with LDA and is in possession of a valid No-Objection Certificate (NOC). On scanning the code through a mobile application, the users will be redirected to a site where information about the total area, mortgage plots, available land for purchase, and the number of commercial and residential plots unsold will be available.

The QR code will also display the names and locations of housing projects that are formally registered with LDA. To further inform the citizens and save them from fraudulent activities, the LDA has also published a list of 116 illegal housing societies that are operating in various parts of the city in violation of the LDA’s regulations. The authority has cautioned against investing in any society that is not registered with LDA or does not display its QR code.
