Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA)’s governing body on Thursday (March 31) approved the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for real estate agents and property dealers of all LDA registered schemes, news sources reported. Under the SOPs, all property dealers will be registered with the LDA to prevent unlawful and fraudulent activities within the authority’s jurisdiction.

Reportedly, in a meeting of the governing body held in LDA Johar town and chaired by Vice Chairman (VC) Naeem-ul-Haq, it was decided to improve the digital infrastructure of the LDA to provide better services to the citizens. In addition to this following decisions were taken:
- Approval of the LDA Joint Venture (JV) Regulations Act 2022
- Approval of the digitization and automation of LDA
- Reconstitution of the LDA Plot Auction Committee that will include a member of the governing body
- The meeting determined that the master plan 2050 will be turned over to the inspection committee and, following public notice, re-submitted to the governing body.

Vice-Chairman Wasa Sh Imtiaz Mehmood, MPA Sadia Sohail Rana, Engineer Amir Qureshi, Tariq Sana Bajwa, Additional DG (Headquarters) Farqalit Mir, Additional DG Housing Qadeer Ahmed Bajwa, and Chief Metropolitan Planner Syed Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi were present during the meeting.
