The operation was carried out in various parts of the city to recover commercialisation fees and remove encroachments from public properties. The operation, which was overseen by the LDA Chief Town Planner Asad Zaman, resulted in the closure of various buildings. As per the sources, the operation is part of the LDA’s anti-encroachment drive to reduce traffic-related issues and convert selected roads into model one.
