Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has prohibited the subdivision of plots measuring less than 2 kanals, according to the recently updated building and zoning rules of the civic authority.
A news source reported that the amended rule would not be limited to Lahore, as the residents of Nankana, Sheikhupura, and Kasur would also be required to follow it.
Subdivision of a plot measuring 2 kanals or more would be allowed subject to prior approval of a building plan from the competent authority, the news source added.
