Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar has approved the formation of three new directorates of housing to manage the affairs of various housing schemes of the city, news sources reported. The director admin has issued the notification to bring the formations to effect.

The newly formed directorates are as follows:
The Directorate of Land Development 2 has been restructured as the Directorate of Housing 3 that would oversee the concerns of Allama Iqbal Town and Mustafa Town. The officials of this newly formed directorate will perform the Estate and Land Development-related tasks.
The Directorate of Housing 9 is created following the dissolution of the LDA City Directorate. Within the limitations, the newly established Directorate of Housing Nine will be in charge of LDA City’s file, allocations, allotment, and schemes.
The Directorate of Housing 8 is created by dissolving the Directorate of LDA Avenue 1 and it will now oversee the matters related to LDA Avenue 1, Jubilee Town, and Mohalnawal Scheme issues. The new directorate will be in charge of all land records, estate management, and plots.

Furthermore, each Directorate of Housing will be led by a director, with additional personnel consisting of one deputy director estate, two assistant directors (estate), two deputy directors (land development), three assistant directors (land development), and one estate officer.
