Lahore: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has decided to launch an investigation into 32 housing societies operating illegally in Lahore – a news source reported.

The authorities concerned recently discovered that as many as 32 housing projects were operating illegally within the city. These include – among several others – Haideri Homes, Ferozepur City, Rana Garden, Azan Park Land, Hammad Garden Land, and Good Luck Land.
ACE has sought information from the Lahore Development Authority on the matter. To facilitate this end, ACE Deputy Director Shahrukh Niazi has written a letter to LDA Director General Amna Imran.

The ACE deputy director, in his letter, has issued summons to LDA officials for appearance on February 15. The agency will take strict action against these officials in case of non-compliance.

Meanwhile, LDA and ACE officials have conducted raids to identify housing schemes operating illegally in Lahore. An eight-member team sealed a housing scheme situated along Canal Road; following the effort.
