The development authority had formed a special committee to take action against people who had first illegally allotted and then took possession of the 195 shops in Quaid-e-Azam Town, Jinnah Market Phase II. The committee repossessed the shop and recommended that it should be converted into a parking plaza. The convener of the committee, Shaikh Imtiaz Mehmood, submitted the recommendations with the governing body of the LDA.
