Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to turn several roads into model roads by eliminating encroachments and resolving parking issues, a news source reported on January 12.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the authority to remove encroachments and improve the flow of traffic in the city. The LDA has started converting several city roads to model ones. As per the details, Johar Town’s Main Road, Main Boulevard Allama Iqbal Town, Multan Road, Wahdat Road, and Road leading to Expo Centre from Doctors Hospital will be transformed into model roads.

Moreover, the LDA officials (whose names were not disclosed) stated that notices were issued to the educational institutions, restaurants, hospitals, and commercial buildings located on the roads to follow the building regulations and remove encroachments from parking areas.
