According to sources, the LDA has requested advice from the governing body in order to settle the border delineation problem. To address the concerns, the governing body compiled minutes, a copy of which was sent to the Chief Minister Office (CMO) for approval. Furthermore, the LDA has already handed over the records of the Kasur, Nankana, and Sheikhupura schemes to the respective District Councils, although there is still controversy surrounding the ordinance. The ordinance establishing the master plan is still being debated in the provincial parliament. The absence of discussion and passage on the ordinance in the Assembly has resulted in administrative gaps in the LDA’s operations.

Furthermore, it was claimed that the master plan from Kasur and Sheikhupura will be produced in conjunction with the concerned local governments. Seminars in this respect will be held in the other three districts as well.
