Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to launch an e-permit system for map approvals, according to a news report. The maps will be approved after scanning the layout and other files. LDA Director General (DG) has instructed the officials on the matter. Large scanners will be installed at LDA’s one-window cells for the purpose.

Previously, the layout and maps were manually approved which caused issues for the public, including loss of documents or mixing up of files. Under the e-permit system, only genuine files and layout plans will be scannable; computerised plans will be approved over email. The relevant Assistant Director Town Planning will be responsible for the files and e-permits.
