Lahore: Upon special directives from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Usman Moazzam, the anti-encroachment drive’s crackdown against illegal structures is underway in the city, according to the news sources.

The town planning and enforcement wings of LDA conducted an operation with the police force to eliminate any illegal buildings and structures in the city. The team demolished an illegal shop on Defence Road and sealed one factory. Another shop and the second storey of a building (that wasn’t developed in accordance with the map) on Ferozepur Road Kahna were demolished. A commercial building developed on a residential plot on Kacha Jail Road was sealed, and a number of illegal structures were demolished on Peco Road, Kot Lakhpat area. An illegal factory in Jia Bagga was also sealed.

Director of LDA Town Planning Wing Salman Mehfooz headed the operation, and Deputy Director Town Planning Sikandar Haroon, Assistant Director Town Planning Raza Al and other, LDA Enforcement Wing and Police officials participated in the operation.
