Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is all set to launch a new mobile application (app) to facilitate citizens’ complaint registration and resolution concerns, a news source reported. The announcement came from LDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Usman Muazam while he was addressing a recent meeting of the representatives of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

Muazam stated that the incorporation of modern technology was necessary for improving the authority’s complaints resolution and services delivery processes. Talking about LDA’s innovative measures in this regard, he revealed that the new app would also be able to record public feedback.
The DG further informed that the authority was developing a smart monitoring system to evaluate the performance of its field staff. He added that the LDA was currently digitising commercialisation and ownership data of private housing societies. He said that the authority was mapping the data on a geographic information system.

One LDA spokesperson has also reported that they have begun the process of allotting plots to the 9,000 file holders in LDA City according the Supreme Court’s (SC) orders. He added that the DG is scheduled to visit the site of LDA City in Mouza Kahna Ferozwala today
