Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has encouraged civil society, the general public, government and semi-government institutions, and stakeholders to submit comments, ideas, and recommendations for the Lahore Master Plan 2050. The invitation was published on the LDA’s official Facebook page.

According to the post, stakeholders and the general public can submit proposals for Lahore Master Plan 2050 to the LDA office in Johar Town, and a special seminar will be held in partnership with the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) to discuss the proposals.
Reportedly, this will be the fourth seminar on the LDA Master Plan 2050 and it will be held on December 1 (Wednesday) at 12 pm at UET. It was also informed that the public will be able to participate and join in the seminar through Facebook Live and Zoom link, a detail of which will be available on the LDA official website.

Furthermore, the LDA has stated that the Master Plan 2050 is focused on planning and addressing the issues involving public transportation, the environment, water, industrialisation, bike lanes, commercial and historical development, and agricultural land protection across the city. The civic authority has engaged the services of internationally recognised architects and consultants in this respect.
