Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has requested PKR 3.25 billion for the construction of a signal-free corridor between Kharak Stop Multan Road to Arfa Kareem Tower Ferozepur Road, news sources reported on September 01.
According to sources, in a letter to the Chief Minister of Punjab Office (CMO), the LDA requested funds to construct a signal-free corridor connecting Multan Road and Ferozepur Road. The authority has also asked for the project to be added to the list of development projects lined up for the fiscal year (FY) 2022-23. As per the proposed design of the project, it will have the following components:
There will be underpasses and flyovers along the whole length of the project
The authority will construct pedestrian bridges every 800 meters of the project
There will be an underpass at the Karim Block Market that will connect Multan Road with Maulana Shaukat Ali Road that will be used for traffic coming from Katcha Jail Road
