Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority has invited tenders from firms interested in constructing musafirkhanas in Lahore, reported a news source. The last date to submit an application in this regard is November 15.
As per the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, LDA Director General Amna Khan has started to make arrangements. Khan instructed LDA Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain Khan to make arrangements for setting up musafirkhanas at five different sites in the city; Badami Bagh General Bus Stand, Railway Station, Sabzi Mandi Badami Bagh, Shahdara Chowk, and in the vicinity of Data Darbar.
The project is estimated to cost PKR 704 million. According to details, each of these facilities will be built on 1 kanal of land. In this regard, the preparation of the project’s PC-1 is underway.
