Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) achieved a significant milestone with the installation of the first Garder on the new Ravi Bridge, currently under construction in Lahore, as disclosed by a news source on March 29.

According to the details, the installation process, initiated using heavy cranes, marks the beginning of a sequence involving a total of 96 Garders. Upon completion, the bridge will provide Lahore residents with a new entry and exit route, thereby enhancing connectivity. The initiative to construct the bridge arose from challenges faced by motorists on the old Ravi Bridge, characterised by frequent traffic congestion.

Officials from the Lahore Development Authority expressed confidence that the bridge will soon be operational for traffic upon the completion of Garder installation, promising smoother journeys for commuters.
