Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has initiated stern action against illegal constructions in Lahore as per the decision taken in the last meeting of its governing body on May 4, a news source reported.

LDA’s Directorate of Town Planning-I and Enforcement took action in the city’s Township area. The teams razed an under-construction building in violation of its approved map. A case was also lodged against the owners of the building with the local police station.
Additionally, letters were sent to all the utility agencies to disconnect their connections including Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Ltd (SNGPL).

The development authority has recently issued the minutes of the meeting of its Governing Body where officials had vowed to take stern action against all illegal constructions in Lahore.
