What are the new amendments proposed by the LDA?
According to the proposals, builders/developers are required to seek LDA’s approval prior to commencing with the launch of their residential schemes. Further, the master plan for the schemes should be exhibited to the general public prior to the launch.
Moreover, LDA has prohibited the development of new schemes under the names that are already in LDA records. However, extensions/phases can be added. Also, for each scheme, 7% of the area is required to be kept open. Plantation of the trees and construction of sidewall is also to be made mandatory.
