Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Thursday arranged a seminar for stakeholders asking them to submit their input of recommendations and objections retrieved from the general public regarding the draft of the Land Use Regulations formulated under the previously notified Land Use Rules Act, 2020, according to news sources.

The seminar was attended by a large variety of people including town planners, housing scheme developers, architectures, businessmen, journalists and lawyers. During the seminar, attendees voiced their concerns and gave suggestions on the draft of the Land Use Regulations.
LDA Chief Town Planner Tariq Mahmood, in his address, assured the public that their input shall be given due deliberation and that their recommendations and objections will be presented before the authority’s governing body for approvals.

He further expressed the resolve of the LDA to implement the policy regarding commercialisation in a systematic and planned manner, as to avoid causing a burden on the present infrastructure. The LDA director general has already issued instructions for the department officials to give due consideration to the opinions and suggestion posed by the stakeholders so that additional job opportunities and business endeavours could be generated.
