Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) conducted computerised balloting for 5 and 7 marla residential plots in Tajpura, Jubilee Town, and Johar Town at the Expo Centre on Monday. An article on December 31 reported the update.

According to the details, Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin, who attended as the chief guest, overseen the process. The event, organised in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), was attended by LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa, and LDA Director General Tahir Farooq.
Under the scheme, successful applicants will have the option to pay in 12 equal instalments over three years. Applicants can check their ballot results on the official LDA website at lda.gop.pk. Speaking at the occasion, Minister Yasin emphasised the transparency of the balloting process facilitated by PITB and reaffirmed LDA’s commitment to delivering affordable housing solutions to the public. He extended congratulations to the successful applicants and hinted at future housing initiatives under LDA’s ongoing efforts.
LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed praised the authority’s performance, noting the offer of 88 plots in the three locations through the three-year instalment plan. Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa highlighted that 1,201 applicants were part of the balloting, while LDA DG Tahir Farooq detailed the use of advanced digital techniques by PITB to ensure a transparent process.

Monument restoration at Liberty Roundabout underway
The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has initiated repair work on the monument at Liberty Roundabout, as directed by PHA DG Muhammad Tahir Wattoo. Restoring the monument and reactivating fountains on major highways are among the PHA’s top priorities. The restoration work is expected to be completed soon, as PHA continues efforts to enhance Lahore’s aesthetics. The authority aims to align its projects with a vision of a greener, more beautiful city.
