Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has notified its intent to assist the Survey of Pakistan in marking government lands in Lahore, according to a news report. A delegation from the Survey of Pakistan visited the Director General (DG) LDA Ahmed Aziz Tarar to discuss this matter; comprised of Director Nadeem Ahmed and Assistant Director Syed Ajmal Ijaz.

The DG assured the delegation that the LDA would assist with this survey of government lands to the ‘best of its abilities’ – extending ‘all possible cooperation’ to help the federal government in conducting an accurate survey of government lands in Lahore.
He added that all the required information, such as the maps of housing schemes, would be shared for this purpose.

The other members of the meeting included LDA Chief Metropolitan Planner Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi and the respective Directors of the LDA’s various departments; with both parties agreeing to communicate closely for ensuring a smooth round of operations.
