Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) governing body has approved three bus terminals for the provincial capital, a news source reported. These terminals will be constructed under a public-private partnership arrangement.

The decision was made in a recent meeting presided over by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar. The body also directed the LDA officials concerned to implement an exclusive job quota for special persons when hiring new staff to operate the said projects.
The CM will formally launch the construction of the new terminals after all the formalities have been completed. He also ordered the formation of a committee to hire a consultant for developing the Lahore Master Plan 2040.

The CM also directed the relevant officials to complete the repair and maintenance of roads on a priority basis. He also instructed officials to devise the rules & regulations for constructing high-rise buildings in the city. A consultative committee is expected to be formed for this purpose.
