Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has given preliminary planning permission to eight private housing schemes and technical approval to three private housing schemes – a news source reported.
LDA Director General Amna Imran gave the permission on the recommendation of the scrutiny committee. The eight housing schemes include Pak Land City on Raiwind Road, Smart City on Canal Road, and Nadeem Park on Ferozepur Road.

The three private schemes – which have been accorded technical approval – are Rafi Garden Housing Scheme in Kot Radha Kishan, Al-Azeem Garden Villas in Sheikhupura, and Safari Garden Housing Scheme on Sue-e-Asal Road.
On Saturday, the civic body had carried out an operation against illegal housing schemes situated along GT Road and Canal Road. LDA’s Metropolitan Planning Wing and Directorate of Estate Management conducted the operation.

During the operation, LDA officials razed boundary walls and offices of Ghaus Garden, Ashraf Garden, Subhan Garden, Al-Hadi Garden, Nigh-e-Baan Homes, Gold Land Garden, Shalimar Industrial Housing Scheme, and Metro City.
