Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed the officials concerned to speed up the work on the Shahkam Chowk flyover by taking all necessary steps for timely completion of the project, according to news published on May 27.

LDA Director General Randhawa visited the project site to review the progress of the work. He asked the relevant officers to increase manpower to complete the project as soon as possible. During the visit, LDA Chief Engineer-II Mazhar Hussain Khan briefed the LDA DG about the development work on the Shahkam Chowk flyover.

Reportedly, the Shahkam Chowk flyover is a 606-meters long two-way flyover that encompasses three lanes. He informed the LDA DG that 70% of the development work has been completed. Once completed, the project will ensure a smooth flow of traffic for Multan Road, Canal Road, Defense Road, and other areas of the city. Also, the project will help save fuel costs for commuters.
