Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has completed the evaluation of the technical proposals for the city’s master plan submitted by three shortlisted consortium firms, according to the official press release issued by the authority on December 21.

The meeting for the selection committee for the project consultant was held under the chair of LDA Director General Aziz Ahmed Tarar. The meeting evaluated the technical bids submitted by the three shortlisted consortium and submitted the report to the consultant selection committee. It was revealed that Dar-ul-Hindsa (Lebanon), Mine Heart (Singapore), and National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) (Pakistan) had been shortlisted out of the seven companies that expressed their interests.

LDA Director General Aziz Ahmed Tarar revealed that ensuring transparency in the formulation and execution of new master plan for Lahore is the authority’s top priority. To ensure the effectiveness of this master plan that will dictate the city’s progress for three decades, all stakeholders have been taken into confidence.
Reportedly, a budget of PKR 46 million has been allocated for the preparation of master plan – which will be developed for the Lahore division, based on regional planning. This plan will include all the rural and urban communities lying within the Lahore division.
