Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has established a one-window cell facility in a bid to streamline the tendering process for contractors, a news source reported.

LDA Vice Chairman SM Imran inaugurated the facility on Tuesday. Officials of various LDA departments, including Director General Amna Imran, were present at the occasion.
The LDA director general deputed the staff to provide every possible assistance to the contractors. Moreover, she informed that tendering documents for development would be made available at the facility’s Counter No 11.
As per sources, the firms interested in acquiring tenders for development projects would have to follow a set of procedures as communicated by the civic agency. All applications to this effect will now be submitted to the LDA staff working at the one window cell.

In a follow-up measure, the authority will issue a challan form after proper verification of the firm/contractor concerned. The contractor will be required to deposit the challan form in a designated bank to receive the tender documents from the LDA.
