Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar has directed authority officials to ensure that the timelines specified for layout approvals and NOCs issuance are met — a news source reported on Sunday (July 12).
He added that these new timelines were a part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for boosting the country’s construction sector and economy. He said that any delay will be the responsibility of the relevant director, so they should be careful to ensure that this does not happen.
The DG further asked the authority’s directors to work on improving inter-directorate coordination as it was critical in ensuring the timely issuance of NOCs.
In addition, the DG directed that applications should be processed through e-khidmat centres. He added that layouts for residential and commercial properties, and warehouses should be approved within 30 days. The completion certificates should also be issued within 30 days and private housing schemes should be approved within 60 days.
