Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to digitise records of all of its housing schemes to prevent fraud, news sources reported on June 16. The authority will digitise the land records of all plots in all of its projects as part of the initiative.

According to reports, the new administration made the decision to prevent fraudsters from scamming people’s money by selling phoney plot files and selling one plot to many customers. The authority will digitise the records of Johar Town, Gulberg and its extensions, LDA Avenue-1, Samanabad, China Scheme, LDA City, and other LDA-managed projects.

It is pertinent to note that in April, LDA decided to register all real estate developers and dealers working or selling plots of LDA projects to prevent unlawful activities. The LDA had issued a circular mentioning the intent of starting a registration campaign.
