Lahore: Following the directives issued by the Lahore High Court (LHC) and the Judicial Water Commission, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmed Aziz Tarar visited several private housing schemes in Lahore to review and inspect the implementation status of society maps and water-related violations, a news source reported.

The LDA DG also reviewed the planning standards during his visit to the residential schemes. He inspected the width of roads, parks, public buildings and plots allocated for other purposes in these housing projects.

Moreover, he issued instruction to the officials concerned to identify illegal water connections in the housing projects. He said that proposals were being chalked out for taking action against the illegal housing schemes and violations of scheme plans committed by the approved schemes. He told that recommendations were also being finalized for taking action against illegal water pumping by private schemes and individuals.
