Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar visited the construction site of the Shahkam Flyover and inspected the ongoing work on the project, news sources reported. The director was told that the authorities have saved PKR 400 million in construction cost and have completed 50% of the piling work.

Furthermore, the director has instructed for the building work to be expedited and completed within the specified 10-month time frame. He directed that the work on the Defence Road be completed first, followed by the work on relocating the LESCO power lines.
Furthermore, Chief Engineer LDA Mazhar Hussain Khan stated that the work will have no impact on the Sui gas lines. He further stated that work on improving the sewage system is currently ongoing.

The National Logistics Company is undertaking the Shahkam Flyover project, which was launched in June and is anticipated to be completed in 10 months. The project has a total allocated budget of PKR 4.25 billion.
