Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Tahir Farooq conducted an assessment of the performance of the LDA’s one-window cell, as claimed by a news source on April 2.

During his visit, DG Farooq interacted with staff from various sections and addressed citizens’ concerns. He emphasised the need to expedite the processing of fully cleared files within 24 to 48 hours to streamline application processing. DG Farooq also highlighted the importance of ensuring that the benefits of record sifting reach the general public.

Additionally, he instructed the Chief Town Planner to develop a plan to improve the approval process for building plans. DG Farooq also reviewed the progress of applications received during the first shift and directed that challans for completely cleared properties be issued within 24 hours.
