Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Usman Moazzam has directed the officials concerned to repair broken patches and potholes on various roads of the provincial capital by October 15 – a news source reported.
He expressed his views on the matter during a visit to a number of areas; including Gulberg, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam (The Mall), Allama Iqbal Town, Thokar Niaz Baig, Canal Road, and Raiwind Road to review progress on the ongoing repair work.

Moreover, he issued instructions to the officials to repair potholes on a portion of the Canal Road that runs between Thokar Niaz Baig to Shahkam Chowk within one week. He also sought explanation with regard to the slow pace of work at Gurumangat Road.
Similarly, the LDA DG reviewed the road repairs work in the service lane of WAPDA House, and directed the authorities to complete it by Sunday evening.
He also reviewed the site identified for the construction of the city’s entrance gate. The LDA Chief Engineer informed the DG that the civic agency had invited tenders to commence with the development work on the gate.
