Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Monday declared eight housing schemes illegal – a news source reported.
LDA said that the owners and developers of the schemes concerned were running them without its approval. It added that the developers had advertised their schemes illegally.

The civic agency said that these housing schemes regularly engaged in illegal practices and cheated the public at-large.
It has also announced to take legal action against the developers identified. These include Al Rehmat Town, Bin Alam City, Manzoor Gardens, Punjab Homes, Sadiq Gardens, Barkat Colony Housing Scheme (Al-Qadir Associates Town), Theme Park Housing Scheme, and Gold Asia Orchards.

LDA has urged citizens to acquire information about housing schemes from its one-window counter. It has also requested them to refrain from engaging in buying and selling activities without prior verification.
