Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced that the fourth ballot for the allotment of plot numbers will be held in December 2022, as per an announcement published in national dailies on November 11. The exact date, however, is yet to be announced by the authority.

As per the advert, funds of PKR 1.5 billion for land acquisition of the LDA City’s Jinnah Sector have been submitted to the national exchequer and the formalities for the land acquisition process are underway in full swing. Landowners interested in buying plots/files in LDA City are asked to present their land for the housing project soon to become part of the latest ballot.
It was highlighted that only those files will be made part of the ballot, whose exemption letters have been issued by the authority. The file owners who are yet to receive their exemption letters are asked to contact their relevant development partners/landowners and get exemption letters before the month’s end.

Moreover, the LDA has issued a public warning that people interested in buying files from landowners should verify entitlement letters before buying, and ensure that the application for the issuance letter for exemption letters has been submitted at LDA’s office as per the requirements.
