Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmed Aziz Tarar has sought suggestions from LDA City development partners for initiating the land acquisition process for society’s Phase II, according to a news source. He issued this directive while chairing a meeting held yesterday (June 2) to discuss the status of land acquisition in the society.

LDA Additional Director General Planning Rana Tikka Khan, LDA City Director Fahad Anees and LDA City development Partners Mian Tahir Javaid, Malik Asif and Imran Ali Bhatti also attended the meeting.
The LDA DG also directed the development partners to increase the development work pace in LDA City, allowing the development authority to hand over property possession to plots owners as soon as possible. He further directed the partners to complete the land acquisition process in the remaining parts of the society’s Jinnah Sector Phase I and hand over the acquired land to the LDA on a priority basis.

In addition, DG Tarar said that the society must be developed as a model housing scheme offering quality civic facilities to the stakeholders. He also informed the meeting members that the deadline for submission of first instalment of LDA City development charges, which is June 15, will not be extended any further. In addition, a 17% penalty will be imposed on those who fail to meet the deadline.
