Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Saturday conducted its plot balloting event for 9,712 LDA City Phase-I file holders of the LDA City housing project, according to news sources. Previously, the Supreme Court had issued directives to the civic agency to commence with the plot allotment process to alleviate the concerns of the scheme’s affectees.
LDA Director General (DG) Usman Moazzam and Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas were also present at the event. The LDA DG briefed the participants on the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)’s role for ensuring transparency in this computerized draw.
Further, he said that an amount of PKR 3 billion had been allocated in the budget (2019-20) for the development of the said housing project. He stated that the file holders would have to submit development charges.

He announced that the development work was underway on the society’s land measuring 5 kanals. He added that the scheme would comprise two entrance and exit points. The project will also be linked with the Ferozepur Road for facilitating the commuters, he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the LDA City Phase-I comprises 81 plots spanning over 2 kanal; 1,830 plots spanning over 1-kanal; 3,752 plots of 10 marlas, and 4,049 plots of 5 marlas.

Meanwhile, file holders can view the ballot results on the LDA’s official website – www.lda.gop.pk – by entering their file numbers.
