Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced that for LDA City (Phase I), over 90% of the requisite land has been acquired, according to the news sources.
Director General (DG) LDA Muhammad Usman Moazzam chaired a progressive review meeting on Saturday and revealed that LDA has acquired 12,311-kanals of land, out of 13,000-kanals offered to the city developer.
He further directed the apartment officials to expedite the remaining land (689-kanals) acquisition process. The DG LDA issued instructions to the revenue staff and high officials from the sub-registrar’s office at the LDA headquarters to expedite the switch of land to LDA’s name.
He also ordered the officials to draw up an estimate for the cost incurred for the construction of access roads in the scheme, and to earmark the land for this purpose as well.

The balloting for the allocation of plot numbers against exempted files of LDA City will be held on November 30, the meeting was informed. The automation system developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will be utilised for the balloting. The authority has already approved the schedule for finalising arrangements for this purpose.

The DG pointed out that the deadline for receiving exemption letters/ transfer of files has been set at November 16. The proceedings for issuance of exemption/ transfer letter is to be completed by November 26.
