LDA City stretches out to around 61,000 kanals, and is said to be the largest housing scheme in Punjab. I have been receiving many queries about LDA City for quite some time now, so I thought of writing a blog post to give you a brief update on the project.
I have learnt that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has planned to start development work for the society in March. Moreover, it is expected that the master plan of the project will be rolled out in the same month.
News about the project spread like a wildfire and many people are showing an interest in investing. Anytime something like this happens prices see an increase, and LDA city is no different. Property file prices have jumped during the last 15 days or so.
Another important factor that has increased demand for plot files in LDA City is the under development link road. The road is expected to provide better access to the housing society from Gajju Matah. According to a source, the development work on the link road is 70 per cent complete.
Even the under construction Lahore Ring Road (LRR)’s interchange is playing its part in enticing people to invest in the housing society. The completion of the Lahore Ring Road will escalate prices for sure.
The asking price of different plot files in the locality are as follows:

Every plot category has witnessed an increase of around PKR 200,000 in the last 15 days. Some investors have even preferred to hold these files since they are anticipating further escalation in prices, in the days to come.
I have also found out that meetings are being held frequently between LDA officials and representatives from its four development partners i.e. Urban Developer, Paragon City, Alpha Estate and Pak Estate, where they have discussed the ins and outs of LDA City.
LDA City seems to be a good project for investment in the current scenario. However, if the civic authority does not start development work in March, it may result in a sudden halt in not just the price’s upward trend but also the current hustle and bustle in investment activity.
I think investors can take a risk and capitalise on this project since it seems too good to pass up at the moment. That’s all I have to share about LDA City for the time being. If you still have any queries in mind, please feel free to discuss them with me in the comments section below.

Thank you very much for providing updates on LDA City, I was very much worried when I booked a plot in 2015 and people objected on taking such a risk and said negative remarks, consequences etc etc. It was my first ever investment on land which i intended to keep it to build a home!! I was even willing to sell it on loss some how consulting with parents I decided to keep paying the installments and with the passage of time Al-Hamdulillah, I paid all my dues on time and receiving positive news regarding LDA city! Hoping to build my future home but depends on how fast they complete the projects.
But question is that, how much you have already paid for how much time and how much profit if you want to sell right now. and most important, the buyer available or not?
General economic calculation is that at-least u must get profit on your amount equal to inflation.

What about the land acquisition issues? Are they settled now? I heard about NAB investigation as well. Me and my brother have invested there.
