Lahore: NESPAK Managing Director Dr Tahir Masood recently informed that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) had awarded the contract for the detailed design/review and infrastructural construction supervision of LDA City Phase-I to his company – a news source reported.

The infrastructure development works include: the construction of roads, water supply, sewerage drainage systems, electricity and gas supply systems, parks, commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, and mosques – on an LDA City area measuring approximately 28,000 kanals. The estimated cost of the project has been calculated at PKR 33 billion.

The LDA governing body had recently approved PKR 3.8 billion for LDA City in a meeting held on April 22, presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. The board had also taken major decisions regarding the development of LDA City, and its land acquisition plans. Furthermore, the meeting approved the project design and development charges to be applicable on the project’s plot allottees.
