For late payment of due charges, the authorities will levy a 17.5% penalty on 2,000 allottees. The fine was approved by the LDA’s governing body at a meeting, where it was also decided that the development work would be completed on time to stimulate construction in the housing scheme. Furthermore, the authority will enhance infrastructure development spending.
It was also decided that there would be no surcharges placed on allottees who were unable to pay their dues due to the pandemic or a judicial dispute over their plot files.
