Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain Khan has said that development work in LDA City will be divided in seven packages, a news source reported.

In order to ensure that 9,000 file owners get possession of their plot as per the Supreme Court ruling, the development work is being carried out a swift pace. The directives to divide the work in seven packages came from LDA Vice Chairman S M Imran.

As per reports, development work is already being carried out under package-5 of the project. Moreover, the LDA has issued a ‘Letter of Intent’ to the successful contractors tendered for package-2 and -3.
Meanwhile, the respective contractors have initiated development work assigned to them under these packages: the Babar Construction Company is working on the package-2, while details on the contractor hired for package-3 haven’t been shared yet.

The estimated construction cost under package-2 and -3 stands at PKR 990.31 million and PKR 1.17 billion, respectively.
