Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) City administration — upon the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar — has announced an extension in the deposit deadline for the first instalment of the project’s development charges, according to news sources.

This third extension has been granted in a bid to offer relief to the public amid the adverse economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The plot owners in LDA City will be able to submit their dues till May 15 without any fine. Previously the deadline was set at April 07, which was later extended to April 30.

Vice Chairman S M Imran and Director General LDA Ahmed Aziz Tarar revealed that LDA City plot holders (both local and overseas) can use this extended time to pay their dues in these tough global times. Additional Director General Urban Planning Wing Rana Tikka Khan has issued a notification in this regard.
Furthermore, the ballot of LDA City (which was scheduled for April 18) has also been postponed till further notice.
