Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has awarded contracts for initiating development work under new packages in the LDA City Jinnah Sector, a news source reported. The contracts have been issued for Package 1, 4 and 6.

Habib Construction Services was awarded the contract on the proposal of PKR 3.9 billion. The original estimate of the project had been set PKR 4.5 billion. Through this contract, LDA is expected to save nearly PKR 600 million.
In view of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, LDA City balloting, originally scheduled to take place in April, has been postponed. At the same time, the authorities have also extended the deadline for down payment submissions.

After the announcements of the Prime Minister’s Construction Incentive Package, the costs of the projects are expected to decline significantly. LDA is also expecting to save significant amount on its projects.
