Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced that the 4th ballot will be held in December to award plot numbers to LDA City Housing Scheme’s file holders, an advertisement in a leading newspaper announced.

The LDA has asked the file holders to clear their outstanding dues by November this year to become part of the final list of candidates. Updating the citizens on the development and land acquisition status of the scheme, the advertisement informed them that the LDA expedited the land acquisition process for the Jinnah Sector and has allocated PKR 1.5 billion for the process. Moreover, the following instructions have been issued for the file holders:
- Landowners who wish to be part of the LDA City housing project are encouraged to surrender their land to the LDA so that the land transfer and purchase procedure may be completed quickly and plots may be allocated in the upcoming ballot
- Only files for which an exemption letter has been obtained will appear in the December ballot
- File holders who have not submitted their exemption letter to the LDA office are encouraged to contact their land owner or development partner in order to get their exemption letter released by the LDA office before November 2022

- Those who do not submit their exemption letter will be excluded from the December ballot
- Citizens who wish to acquire plot files directly from landowners should check the ‘Entitlement Letter’ issued by the LDA in the landowner’s name.
- Those purchasing files directly from landowners should additionally check that the file has been duly processed for the issuing of the LDA confirmation letter
